Brian Dillon retires from Lancashire Constabulary
On 19th November 2007 Brian Dillon left the Lancashire Constabulary after over 30 years continuous service.
Among his many roles he has, for the last 11 years, been the Constabulary Emergency Planning Manager and as such was closely involved with LANMIC and later the Lancashire Resilience Forum taking on the role as Group Secretary throughout this time.
Brian has been responsible for implementing a number of key developments within the LRF one of which notably was the implementation of the Multi Agency Initial Major Incident Management Training (IMIMT) courses, which have been attended by over 500 ‘students’ from Lancashire Responder agencies and are still being held at least six times per year to meet continuing demand.
Brian was recently invited to attend the LRF General Purposes group meeting during a special lunch to receive a LANMIC plaque and gifts from his former LRF colleagues.
Brian has now set up his own Emergency Planning Consultation business and the group wished him well with this venture and for his future.
