Lancashire County Council Emergency Planning Relocation

Westleigh1On 3rd January 2007 the Lancashire County Council Emergency Planning Service relocated from their old home of Westleigh. The Emergency Planning Services’ offices are now on the 3rd floor at the Red Rose Hub on the outskirts of Preston . This site also houses an Operations Room on the 2nd Floor - a facility equipped to deal with the response to a major incident by the County’s Emergency Planning Officers – and agreements are in place to move into the Conference Rooms on the ground floor if a wider response is needed.

The team is led by the County Emergency Planning Officer, and comprises five Senior Emergency Planning Officers who take responsibility for different areas of emergency planning, and provide a 24 hour Duty Officer system to respond to major incidents, along with the Lancashire County Council Business Continuity Manager. They are assisted by five support staff who provide administrative and technical support to the County, Lancashire Resilience Forum and the partner organisations that assist LCC in responding to emergencies.
